On March 19, 2023, Isuzu Vietnam cooperated with Isuzu An Viet to successfully organize Eco-drive seminar Safety Driving – Fuel Saving and Daily Vehicle Inspection – Maintenance training for the Center of Transporting and Warehousing in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam Post (VNPost)
The program took place with the participation of the Board of Directors and more than 40 drivers from the Center of Transporting and Warehousing, which confirmed the practicality of the program and VNPost’s special attention to safety and savings when operating a vehicle at this time.
VNPost is a big fleet customer of Isuzu Vietnam, and currently owns more than 900 Isuzu trucks serving the postal service. This is the second program (after Hanoi) in the training chain from Isuzu Vietnam to VNPost’s major hubs nationwide.
Speaking at the opening of the program, the Director of Isuzu Vietnam – Mr. Thai Van Toan said that he always appreciates the cooperation among VNPost – Isuzu Vietnam – Isuzu An Viet. Isuzu Vietnam and Isuzu An Viet will always accompany VNPost and the driver team before, during, and after operating the vehicle.
According to Deputy Director of the Center of Transporting and Warehousing in Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Nguyen Bao Tran, Eco-drive seminar brings safety to the driver, the company’s property and added value for VNPost. This program is in line with the development strategy and orientation and will contribute to improving the company’s competitiveness in today’s difficulty.
Through the seminar, with the guidance of trainers from Isuzu Vietnam and An Viet Dealer, the trainees participated in 03 main contents as follows:
- Guide to Eco & Safety Driving skill (Theory & Practice)
- Instructions for daily vehicle inspection and maintenance (Theory and practice)
- Q&A Section
Drivers enthusiastically participated in the driving practice in two ways: normal driving according to daily practice and fuel-efficient driving according to the skills trained by Isuzu Vietnam. The results of driving by two methods show that the operating skills of VNPost’s team of drivers are very good. However, if operated according to instructions from Isuzu Vietnam, VNPost can save up to 14% of fuel consumption compared to the current one.
Participants received certificates and awards from Isuzu Vietnam.
Speaking at the end of the program, the General Director of Isuzu Vietnam – Mr. Kazuo Goda deeply thanked the Center’s Board of Directors for creating conditions for the program to be held successfully at a high level equivalent to Japan. He affirmed that VNPost is the main pillar supporting postal services in Vietnam. He hopes that with their pivotal position, VNPost’s drivers will not only apply their driving skills of fuel – saving to their daily work but also spread them further in their community.
