On May 14th, 2023, Isuzu Vietnam cooperated with Isuzu An Viet to successfully organize an Eco-drive seminar, Safety Driving – Fuel Saving and Daily Vehicle Inspection – Maintenance training for the Center of Transporting and Warehousing of Vietnam Post (VNPost) in Can Tho City.
The program took place with the participation of more than 30 drivers and the Board of Directors from the Center of Transporting and Warehousing in Southwest, which confirmed the practicality of the program and VNPost’s special attention to safety and savings when operating a vehicle at this time.
VNPost is a big fleet customer of Isuzu Vietnam and currently owns more than 900 Isuzu trucks serving the postal service. This is the last program (after Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang) in the training chain from Isuzu Vietnam to VNPost’s major hubs nationwide.
Speaking at the opening of the program, the Director of the Center of Transporting and Warehousing in Can Tho City – Mrs. Tran Thi Thu Dung expressed her special thanks to Isuzu Vietnam and Isuzu An Viet for conducting Eco-drive seminars for VNPost’s major hubs from North to South. She emphasized that Safety-driving is the happiness of not only drivers but also their family and company. The Center benefits greatly from skills shared by Isuzu Vietnam in today’s training.
Through the seminar, with the guidance of technicians from Isuzu An Viet, the trainees participated in 03 main contents as follows:
- Guide to Eco & Safety Driving skill (Theory & Practice)
- Instructions for daily vehicle inspection and maintenance (Theory and practice)
- Health Report Explanation; Q&A Section
Drivers enthusiastically participated in the driving practice in two methods: normal driving according to daily practice and fuel-saving driving according to the skills trained by Isuzu Vietnam. The results of driving by two methods show that the operating skills of VNPost’s drivers are good. However, if operated according to instructions from Isuzu Vietnam, VNPost can save up to 18% of fuel consumption compared to the current one.
Participants received certificates and awards from Isuzu Vietnam and Isuzu An Viet.
